The Lakeside Hammers Community Programme and Brentwood Rugby League are delighted to announce the establishment of a new community sporting link .
The two Essex-based organisations will collaborate on a number of initiatives during the summer that are designed to help raise the profile of both speedway and rugby league throughout the county, and beyond.
The ‘Eels’ who are celebrating their tenth anniversary in 2014, have exciting plans for the year ahead with 4 youth teams taking to the field alongside, for the first time, an adult team.
Hammers’ Community Liaison Manager Mark Sexton commented:
“The opportunity to work alongside Brentwood RLFC fits perfectly with our own philosophy of helping to raise the profile of local clubs that compete in different sporting disciplines and we are extremely confident that supporters of both clubs will benefit from the new partnership”.
Carl Horsman, Chairman of Brentwood Rugby League FC added “We are really pleased to be associated with such a well-established sporting organisation in Essex. I’m confident that this relationship will benefit both clubs in the long-term and help raise the profile of both sports within the area”
